Downhole motors types include vertical, single-bend, double-bend and adjustable motors;

The hear-resistance temperature ranges are less than 120ºC,120-150ºC and 150-180ºC; oil-based mud resistance and saturated saltwater mud resistance motors and can independently research and develop and provide various size of uniform thickness downhole motors.

 

1. About the Manual
The Lake Drilling MOTOR is a powerful and reliable positive displacement motor. The motor generates an optimum balance of rotational speed and high torque to drive a variety of drill bits at speeds that maximize tool life and performance. LAKE MOTORS offers a choice of flow rates, speeds, and torques to match a wide range of operational parameters.  LAKE MOTORS are used in applications such as straight hole drilling, directional (steerable) drilling, horizontal drilling, hole opening, and re-entry(work over).

Downhole motors differ in size and performance characteristics, but they share the same basic components as follows (Fig.1) :

Operating Principle of a Downhole Motor
Downhole motor is a type of positive- displacement downhole motor(PDM). After high pressure drilling fluid enters into downhole motor from drill stem, fluid pressure forces rotor to rotate that transfers torque to bit to achieve drilling purpose.

Each downhole mud motor is tested on the professional testing bench and the delivered downhole mud motor is 100% guarateed qualitified, then the test report will be provided to you.

Each downhole mud motor can continuously work 7~10 days with good working condition and correct operation.

Below is a performance curve for reference only. Actual performance may change according to the temperature and stator/rotor fit . When the operating pressure is above the maximum recommended differential pressure, the stator life will reduce quickly .
