Rotating spear is a tool used to catch fish from the inner hole. Mainly used for fishing casing.The rotary fishing spear is a kind of fishing tool which pulls or jolts the fish out of the well by grasping the inner diameter of the fish. It is especially suitable for offshore casing operation.
II. Structure & Principle
(1) Structure: the rotating spear is mainly composed of upper joint. mandrel shaft. rotating sleeve, sliding bearing. thrust bearing. slip teeth. slip body; keys, fastening screws, etc.(See schematic)
(2) Principle: in free state, the outer diameter of the slips is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the falling objects. When the tool enters the fish cavity, the slips are compressed to produce a certain extemal bulging force, which makes the slips adhere to the inner wall of the falling objects.With the gradual increase of the lifting force and the upward movement of the heart shaft, the slips produce radial force, which enables them to bite the fish to achieve fishing.
III. Usage
1. According to the size of the fish, select the corresponding slip. Before entering the well, go through non-destructive inspection and tighten the threads according to the specified torque.
2. Combine a rotating spear, a non-rotating centralizer. and a hydraulic cutter to fom a well abandonment pipe string for well abandonment operations.
3. Put the spear into the pipe, and when the lower cutter is cutting. the core shaft of the spear rotates with the cutter.
4.When the cuting operation is finished, the mandrel is lifted. and with the gradual increase of lifting force, the slips generate radial force, which makes them bite the fish to achieve fishing.
5.If the retractable operation is needed for the spear fishing: the spear fishing should be struck to make the guide groove of the spear fishing base enter the upper joint. and then the spear fishing should be rotated 70 degrees to make the guide groove of the spear fishing base enter the L-shaped slide. and then the retractable operation should be caried out by self-locking.
IV. Mainten ance
The used rotary spears should be cleaned and carefully checked, especially the slip teeth and mandrel. If cracks or damages are found, they must be replaced. After reassembly. anti-rust oil should be coated to prepare for the next use.
Note:
1. After each use. all parts of the product should be inspected, andit can be used after passing the test.
2. Pay attention to safe operation and personal safety when using.
3. If the slips are distributed separately; pay attention to isolate the slips to prevent colli sion and damage.
